‘Finishing Touches’ – the garden

I think some people tend to forget about the garden when selling their home. Many of us get so caught up in making sure the beds have been made, dishes put away and the carpets vacuumed, that the garden can sometimes be an afterthought.

So think of this as a gentle reminder or a checklist to make sure your garden is as ready and fabulous as the inside of your home.

  1. Cut the grass
  2. Sweep the leaves
  3. Remove any dog poo
  4. Arrange the garden furniture so it is neat and tidy
  5. Flower beds in order
  6. Pots looking healthy with lots of colour
  7. Put away any children’s toys and gardening equipment

Of course not all of the points above will be relevant to your own garden, but use it as a guide and remember as long as you treat your garden like another room it will look presentable.
