So it’s official, the weather has turned; the heating is back on full blast and I feel like I’m living in my coat! With all of this I thought why not have a throwback Thursday to my summer holiday back in July. Just looking at the photos makes me feel warmer…
Christo and I went to Ibiza for the very first time this year and given I’m the ultimate granny this did seem like an unlikely choice to a few people! Having said that we went to the quieter side of the island to an adults-only hotel and it was fantastic. A lot of wine was drunk, the views were incredible, I caught up on all the podcasts I’ve been meaning to listen to and I worked on that ever elusive tan of mine – which was a success I’m pleased to report… even if I’m back to shade milkbottle now!
The majority of the trip was spent relaxing and really not doing much, however we did explore Formentera which I’ve included in some of the snaps below. It was such an incredibly beautiful place and a must if you’re in Ibiza! It’s just a short ferry trip away from the main island, unless you’re doing pretty well for yourself and can moor up in your own yacht! The sea is crystal clear and sandy beaches seem to stretch forever. It was like being in the Caribbean… dreamy!
Other highlights included snorkelling again for the first time in yonks… turns out it was harder than I remembered but still great fun! We also hired a little hovercraft which was a great way to see some more of the bay near the hotel.
So for all the non-party animals out there, Ibiza is definitely still worth a visit – I would certainly head back!
