What a funny old world we are living in right now, one minute we were going about our daily lives and the next we are all living the new lockdown lifestyle.
It is so important that we do everything we can to play our part to stop the spread of this terrible virus, stay home and save lives! My heart goes out to the people who have lost loved ones through this, and we will all be eternally grateful to all the key workers keeping us going, from those of you working in the shops and schools, to the carers working in homes and in the NHS.

There have been some positive and wonderful things to come out of this pandemic though, the Thursday night ‘clap for carers’ which so many people take part in each week. Each week my nan stands on her balcony with a sauce pan lid and a spoon which used to be her mums proudly making as much noise as she can. Too cute.
We have seen some fantastic amounts of money being raised for the NHS as well, Captain Tom Moore has raised staggering amounts of money by walking 100th lengths of his garden. Just incredible.
After the worst of this is over and we start to seem some sort of normality I really hope our key workers will continue to be appreciated for all their hard work.
Although I am not a key worker I am fortunate enough to be able to do my job from home, and on my days off I have been one of the millions of people who have been baking more than ever before. I think everyone has made banana bread, right?!
I have also become randomly obsessed with programs like Come Dine With Me and those half hour episodes a little bit of escapism, people eating together, and being closer than 2 meters apart.. for 30 minutes you can forget what is really going on and I think everyone needs that headspace.
Like many I have also been making an effort to either go on either a daily run or walk. We are lucky to have Jesmond Dene on our doorstep and I have been really enjoying this time not only to get some fresh air but to reflect on what is going on, and also think about what I want to do when lockdown has lifted.
Who knows when that might be but for now we will keep staying at home and being grateful for keeping safe and well.

Lovely piece ❤️
